2024 HS Tryout Form |
Tryouts will be held Friday & Saturday - Jan 19th & 20th
Friday will be a “pro showcase” tryout (4-8pm).
Saturday will be a scrimmage format (1-4pm).
All players will be evaluated each day. After Saturday’s tryout, cuts will be made and those that have made the team will have their tryout number listed on the front page of this website & our Twitter page (@CyFairBaseball) around 9pm.
Those players that have their numbers listed will need to come back on Monday.
If a D appears by their number, that means they have been designated as a “Developmental” player. Developmental players will be a part of a team and expected to practice, but will only attend Home games & are not guaranteed playing time. Players with this designation will need to let the coaching staff know if they want to continue in this capacity on Monday.
If a player’s number is NOT listed, that player has been cut and will not make a team this season.
Any player not making a team is welcome to come and speak with the coaches in person and inquire about their tryout. The coaches will not answer emails or phone calls from parents about their son’s tryout. All tryout decisions are FINAL.
Parents are allowed to attend tryouts, but must sit & stay in the stands.
All players making a team will be required to provide/purchase the following for practice/games:
The baseball program will sell Practice shirts & provide Team Caps & Jerseys.
There will be a mandatory Team & Parent meeting Tuesday, January 23rd at 6pm in the High School Cafeteria for all those NEW to the program.
