2026 HIGH SCHOOL TRYOUTS
2026 High School Tryouts will be held January 16th & 17th.
This is for players that are currently enrolled at Cy-Fair High School.
All players must have a 2025-2026 physical on file with our trainers in order to tryout!
All players trying out must fill out a Tryout Form which can be picked up in Room 1602 from Coach Hardin or downloaded below.
There will be a tryout meeting on Wednesday, January 14th for all those new to the program.

2026 Bobcat Baseball Tryouts Info
Tryouts will be held Friday & Saturday - Jan 16th & 17th
Friday will be a “showcase” tryout (5-7pm) - Saturday will be a scrimmage format (12-3pm).
ALL PLAYERS MUST HAVE A COMPLETED PHYSICAL ON FILE WITH OUR TRAINERS BEFORE TRYOUTS!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!
All players will be evaluated each day. After Saturday’s tryout, cuts will be made and those that have not been cut will have their tryout number listed on the baseball website (bfndbaseball.com) & X page (@CyFairBaseball) around 9pm. Those players that have their numbers listed will need to come back on Monday.
If “DSA” appears by their number, that means they have been tabbed as a “Designated Student Athlete”. DSA’s will not be a rostered player & will not play in games, but will remain in the period and practice after school. DSA’s are available to fill in for rostered players in cases of rostered player injuries, grade issues, suspensions, or removals. Players with this designation will need to let the coaching staff know if they want to continue in this capacity on Monday the 19th. If they choose not to, they will be moved into a P.E. class.
If a player’s number is NOT listed, that player has been cut and will not make a team this season.
Any player not making a team is welcome to come and speak with the coaches in person and inquire about their tryout. The coaches will not answer emails or phone calls from parents about their son’s tryout. All tryout decisions are FINAL.
Parents are allowed to attend tryouts, but must sit & stay in the stands.
All players making a team will be required to provide/purchase the following for practice/games:

- Team practice shirts (Required: 1 maroon, 1 black, 1 white; can purchase extra)
- White baseball pants (no pinstripes or piping; must be worn below knee)
- Black molded baseball cleats (can have white logo, stripes, swoosh, etc.)
- Maroon Socks & belt
- Glove (brown, black, maroon, or grey)
- Legal high school bat (-3)
- Any accessories purchased must be black, maroon, white, or grey.
